This walnut and rosewood worker, inlaid with light wood, in the Napoleon III style, has a canted top surrounded by an ingot mold. The latter is inlaid with light wood marquetry forming a bouquet of flowers in a basket, framed in rosewood then walnut. When we open it, we discover a large locker flanked by two smaller ones, and a mirror on the flap. On the front, a chiseled entrance, a key and a working lock allow the worker to be closed. This small piece of furniture rests on four curved legs decorated with trim. They are joined by an inlaid spacer top surrounded by an ingot mold. ******* Period: Late 19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop.
