This elegant Art Nouveau side table, signed by Louis Majorelle and made in France circa 1900, is a fine example of the period’s craftsmanship and organic design. The shaped top features exquisite marquetry with inlaid stylized lilies, while the three slender legs display beautifully carved floral forms, an iconic Art Nouveau detail. The French polish finish beautifully highlights the rich, warm woodgrain. The table is in very good condition. One leg has an old, well-executed repair with a replaced section of wood (roughly 1 inch). The lower tier shows some minor veneer imperfections, also consistent with age and past restoration.
