Very beautiful trunk from the Renaissance period, very nicely carved with palm leaves and acanthus leaves in an architectural setting. Four Ionic columns decorated with plant motifs punctuate the façade. The central panel, transformed into a door at the end of the 19th century to make this chest a sideboard, is inlaid with blackened pieces of wood forming diamonds framed by a frieze. The keyhole today purely decorative is wrought iron. France. 17th century.
