19th century Jacobean style oak geometric sideboard from England. The top is made from three boards, and have beveled edges.following down to simple sides which have molded edges at the bottom. The front of the case contains two drawers, both with raised geometric panel drawer fronts, flanked by applied half turnings for added design detail. The apron is scalloped and adds a lovely edge below the drawers. The piece is raised upon hand turned legs in the front and simple legs in the back, for easy placement against a wall. The legs are joined by simple stretchers as well and the piece is supported on hand turned feet in the front. This is a lovely form and wonderful size.
