The model 513, or shape "B" walnut stool by Charles and Ray Eames was one of three shapes designed for the lobby of the Time Life building. This design features a pleasing combination of curved and straight lines. The solid walnut forms function equally well as a stool or side table, and the piece has a wonderful sculptural quality and presence in the room. This exceptional example dates to 1965 when it was purchased for the Dekalb, IL public library. It has acquired a beautiful patina from the 6 decades of use. 15"h X 13"d
