18th Century Carved European Chest Wonderful old world chest with the front panel carved with a repeating quilt-like pattern. The chest measures 33" long x 15.5" wide x 15" deep. The chest shows chip out of the right side (see pics), otherwise in very good antique condition. Relatively simple to construct by a good carpenter, a boarded or jointed coffer served many roles beyond storing household goods and were favored by all classes across Europe. This is a fine old chest with tons of character. A great old find!
