This is an 18th Century European/English small hinged chest. It is a carved dark oak, quite beautiful in it's simplicity. The front panels are carved and the upper part of the sides are carved. The top is plain and resembles window panes. It has an original iron lock and simple iron hinges. The left side hinge has come apart and needs to be put back together. It appears to be all pegged together, no nails. Dimensions: 38 1/2 W x 20 deep X 24 1/4 H
