Amazing Chest, Italy, late 16th century 93 x 214 x 74 cm Rectangular shaped chest, in walnut wood. Four bracket feet, with four corners with sculpted leaves. Table top with owl's beak and ovule frame, frontal framing with relief scene of cherubs and foliage spirals within a frame of geometric wooden inlays. Sides framed by geometric wooden inlays. Front with compass opening. Upper surface and front opening not relevant. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
