A folk art painted iron campaign trunk with hinged lid and tray, circa 1925. The body decorated with oriental man, red horse, blue elephant on front and sides with foliate motifs in blue, "ROYAL CIRCUS" script on front—possibly Great Royal Circus (Madhuskars). Owner's name "D. BEER". Wear and patina attest to traveling use. 23 ½ inches wide by 8 inches deep by 13 ½ inches tall.
