A heartwarming Swedish painted marriage trunk from the 19th century. The exterior of this trunk is painted blue with colorful flower baskets and other foliate illustrations around the initials “A E S” dated 1841. The domed trunk top opens on forged iron hinges to a spacious interior (undecorated) with a classic candle box in the top right corner. Large forged iron handles are found on each end for carrying.
