A splendid late 17th-century chest, made of solid walnut with lighter inlays. It features lion's paw-shaped feet. The piece has been expertly restored to reduce the lid's warping, likely due to centuries of humidity. As you can see from the photos, the restorer perfectly preserved the exterior, adding two wooden planks under the lid to prevent further warping and ensure a secure closure. The key doesn't lock; the lock needs replacing. The interior is very roomy, and the lid can be raised thanks to a wooden plank that can be removed from the side (see photo).
