Late 19th/early 20th century single-door music cabinet: scroll-carved crest rail, applied oval fan medallion, shaped cabriole legs, fitted interior shelving for sheet music or records. Professionally refinished, with a replacement back panel fitted in the original style and the original working lock with key intact. Wear otherwise consistent with age. Purpose-built music cabinets furnished the parlors of the sheet-music era and disappeared with the phonograph - intact examples with original locks are sought-after specialty storage today. 21 inches wide at the legs. From a private estate.
