There is also no gap between the frame and the door. The door, veneered with a single burl of mahogany, opens to the right on offset lighters and has a wooden knob with a key, allowing its closure. The whole piece rests on a base with a solid overhanging edge and a recessed plinth in vertical veneer. The interior of this piece of furniture offers a shelf on cleats.
