Nice 19th century pine dough box raised on turned legs and with a removeable top. One of the details I like about this is the cyma curved skirt on the front. A pretty sophisticated embellishment on a utilitarian piece of furniture. Also this one is flat on the back so it was probably intended to remain in the room in full view of everyone. The case is all hand dovetailed construction. There is a patch on the top that is clearly seen in the photos. Piece was refinished years ago. There are signs of wear to the finish particularly on the feet. This can be taken care of fairly easily. Piece stands 28 1/2" tall with the top on or 27 1/2" with the top off. Case is 30 3/4" wide by 16 1/2" deep. The top surface is 18" by 34 1/2".
