Antique bridal cabinet dating from 1844, originating from Franconia, Southern Germany. The heavy, weathered character and original paintings give the whole piece an incredible appearance. Both the design of the cabinet and the painting are simple and primitive, yet authentic and a typical example of regional folk art. The cabinet is painted in a reddish-brown color with wood motifs, featuring colorful panels and marbled accents. The panels feature, among other things, flowers, village scenes, and the heart of love. The entire cabinet has been professionally inspected with an eye for originality and character. The construction is solid, the painting is worn but conserved, and the patina has been preserved. The interior consists of two shelves added later. The cabinet can be locked with a working lock and is demountable (2-part). Old, sporadically present traces of woodworm have been inspected and treated. 170cm high, 138cm wide, 58cm deep.
