Mounted on a brass base this French Barbotine gros relief pottery dates to the late 1800s. There are no chips or cracks and the pottery is indicative of an antique item with wear typical of its age. It is such a lovely and striking piece! The base is marked as seen in the images above and note the full signature was lost in the conversion into a lamp. I tend not to include lamp shades unless it’s the original shade because depending on your room design preferences, the style presentation can be dramatically different depending on the shade selection. Please note the 17.5” height is measured from the base to the top of the socket. Lamp base alone, without base or hardware measures 9.5”.
