This decorative pair of antique French faience oil lamps was produced by the Faïencerie de Gien in the late 19th century and features a richly detailed Renaissance-inspired décor on a deep black ground. Each lamp is hand-painted with classical scrollwork, floral motifs, and figural scenes typical of Gien’s historic Renaissance patterns, and rests on its original brass base. The lamps retain their pierced brass oil burner elements with keys, contributing to their authentic character and visual appeal.
