A West German ceramic table lamp in the incised, geometric style of Aldo Londi's Bitossi pottery, here in earthy moss green and ochre rather than the familiar Rimini blue. The lamp was newly rewired for US use, and we'll fit the correct plug for your country at no charge; the listed height is measured with the shade in place. The base has a full, rounded body that swells at the belly and tapers to a short flaring neck, giving the banded ornament a curving surface to wrap around — arches, herringbone, scrolls, and beaded rows that shift between glossy moss green and warm ochre. Bay Keramik, founded in 1933 in the clay-rich Kannenbäckerland, built its postwar reputation on exactly this kind of sculptural molded relief. Amitābha Studio converted the vintage base into a one-of-a-kind lamp using non-invasive methods that leave the original pottery intact, then topped it with a new empire shade in a textured oatmeal weave with ochre trim.
