This is a beautiful example of an early 20th century French buillotte lamp. The original handsome red painted finish is still present on the brass shade with a gold laurel leaf design. As with most buillotte shades of this period, there are are minor scratches and discoloration that give provenance to its age. The lamp is in full working condition with new sockets, six feet of wire, and a "Hi-Low" two-setting cord switch. Shade is adjustable up and down via decorative set screw on shade. The shade dimensions are 7" (top) x 10.5" (bottom) x 4.75 (height). The base itself is 6.5" wide.
