A midcentury Bedside Table Lamps handcrafted in Italy between the 1950s and the 1960s. The structure of the lamps, 24 cm height, were made with curved rattan canes and the lampshades, in wicker cane webbing, have the shape of 2 pagoda which recall the Chinese Chippendale style. These vintage Lamps is an example of the many objects and furniture produced in Italy by skilled craftsmen with natural fibers such as bamboo,Rattan and Wicker. The cane of rattan to produce these items was woven and flexed by hand after having immersed it in tanks to increase its flexibility. from the largest to the smallest object, it needed attention, knowledge and a lot of time to be made. The lamps show signs of aging and use, which can be seen in the photos. The electrical system was Rewiring by a professional, while retaining the original ceramic bulb holder. Used materials and design make it perfect for illuminating and decorating a Riviera-style interiors.
