Adjustable "Olympia" table lamp in white lacquered metal and chromed steel, leather-covered base. Designed by Anders Pehrson in 1972 for the Olympics, supplied to the Olympic Village. "Olympia" version of the famous family of lamps designed by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan: cylindrical head in lacquered metal with an anti-glare diffuser made of concentric blades, adjustable arm on a double chromed rod with a sliding trolley and a Bakelite/ABS knob, and a disc-shaped base covered in leather that adds weight and material warmth. The design was created in 1972 for the Olympics (for the Olympic Village and press areas) and epitomizes the Scandinavian concept of controlled light: a precise beam directed toward the surface and a soft, glare-free glow around the perimeter. The electrical system is functional; minor signs of aging consistent with age and use. Good condition. May show signs of aging. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
