Outstanding and rare depictions. Beautifully carved opposing figures - probably angels, designed with flowing robes. The figures are dramatic in form and scale. The natural wood has remnants of old gesso as they were probably originally gilded or polychromed. This is an important and superior pair of 300 years old figures now mounted as lamps
