This sculptural table lamp was produced in France in the 1950s. The rustic and elegant design is attributed to Charles Dudouyt. The different carved shapes of the wood illustrate the craftsmanship and originality of Dudouyt's production. The lamp is made of solid oakwood and consists of a circular, tiered base with four carved ring details. The striking body is in turned oak wood, creating a grooved spiral pattern. The slightly tapered shade has been renewed in an ivory linen Loro Piana fabric, allowing for a a soft and pleasant light distribution. The oak wood in good original condition with an attractive natural patina\. Minor signs of wear. The wiring has been renewed and the lamp is fully functioning.
