This rare table lamp was produced in France during the 1950s. The rustic yet elegant design is attributed to the French designer Charles Dudouyt. The carefully carved details of the wooden base and stem highlight the artisanal quality and originality characteristic of Dudouyt’s work. Crafted from solid ash wood, the lamp features a round, dished base with a slightly upturned rim. The striking, hand-turned stem with its striking grain adds visual depth and texture. The tapered lampshade has been newly replaced with an ivory-colored fabric featuring a subtle linen texture, creating a warm and inviting glow when illuminated. The wood remains in good original condition with a warm, natural patina. The wiring has been renewed for safety and functionality, and the lamp is in full working order.
