Vintage Facet Pop Lamp By Louis Weisdorf For Lyfa, 1970s

Chairish

$1,160

This extraordinary lamp was designed in 1970 by Danish designer Louis Weisdorf for Lyfa. Because the lamp was produced in very limited quantities and production ceased when Fog & Morup acquired Lyfa in the early 1970s, this lamp is now a rare collector's item. The lamp is constructed like a three-dimensional puzzle and consists of eighteen identical metal elements. Each element is a long, stamped, and bent piece of metal that interlocks with the next until a cylindrical shape is formed. Light emerges through the small gaps between the individual elements, revealing the inner colors while simultaneously filtering the light softly. Condition: The lamp is in very good vintage condition with slight, age-appropriate signs of wear. See photos. Dimensions: approx. 27 cm high approx. 17 cm diameter approx. 130 cm cable length Additional information: The lamp is marked – see photos. It is sold with the original cable and socket – we have connected the lamp and it works perfectly. However, we recommend having the cable and socket of all vintage lamps in their original condition checked by a qualified electrician before use. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
