Ziggurat table lamp designed by Shigeaki Asahara in 1981, and manufactured by Italian lighting manufacturer Stilnovo. The lamp consists of a conical metal base and an inverted ziggurat-shaped moulded glass diffuser with a metal top. This version is black with red enhancements. The built-in transformer in the base converts 220 volts to 12 volts. In countries with lower voltage such as the US, a converter is required. The halogen light can be switched to two different intensities. Rare piece.
