The form of the Bentz table base derives from a simple profile swept along a down and up trajectory. In doing so, it creates an airy and sculptural central focus with the functional characteristics of a column base. The resulting surface and volume seeks hierarchy and interplay between the actual legs of the people seated across from one another.
