A glazed French faience oyster plate by Gien, one of France's premier faïenceries operating since 1821. Finished in a turquoise glaze with characteristic craquelure throughout — a hallmark of authentic Gien earthenware. The plate features five molded oyster wells surrounding a central sauce well, with naturalistic seaweed and shell relief between wells and a scalloped rim. Marked "GEN / FRANCE" in underglaze black to the reverse, consistent with mid-20th century Gien production. Sourced in L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Provence. No chips or cracks. Crazing is surface-level and consistent with age and the Gien tradition.
