This map was in active circulation for over 50 years beginning in 1606. The top of the map has allegorical representations of the sun, moon and the five known planets. The elements are on the left and the seasons on the right. The seven wonders of the ancient world are along the bottom. Mottahedeh's images are taken direcctly from original historic maps.
