This 18" square pillow is a luminous antique Phulkari “Bagh” repurposed from a rare 19th-century Punjabi wedding shawl. Dense Pat silk embroidery, worked in reverse darning, nearly conceals the Khaddar cotton base, creating a jewel-like, light-shifting luster. The counted-thread geometric design reflects masterful traditional technique. Age-related patina, softened dyes, and minor wear are embraced as authentic character.
