This beautiful, monumental urn is in the style of Sevres. It was purchased in an auction in Florida in the 1950’s. It is 23” tall and makes a grand display for a fern or large floral arrangement. The cobalt porcelain, raised gold decoration and hand painted, gradually expanding flower trellis design is very well done, in green, gold and pink on a white ground. The romantic scene is detailed and clear. There is a very fine diagonal hairline crack that can be seen in the photos if you look for it. This piece was inherited and has been in our family for 70 years. The base and interior of the urn is metal, probably bronze. At almost two feet tall, it is very imposing and makes a beautiful statement when it is used to display a floral arrangement on an entry table.
