Puzzle Gray/red Vase By Ettore Sottsass

Part of a numbered collection of pieces designed by Ettore Sottsass , this vase is fashioned of mouth-blown glass. The smoky-gray, cone-shaped mouth and neck and the red, oval-shaped body are crafted using the opaline technique, whereby layers of clear glass are superimposed atop opaque glass.
