1784 Architectural Engraving Of The Villa Giulia In Rome

Original 1784 antique engraving of a section of the 16th century Villa Giulia in Rome. The Villa Giulia is named after Pope Julius III, who had it built in 1551–1553. Today it is publicly owned, and houses the Museo Nazionale Etrusco, a collection of Etruscan art and artifacts. The nmegraving is after the work of Giovanni Stern (1734-1794) and engraved by Francesco Barbazza (active 1770s). Three works from the folio are available in the Crowther Fine Art Store.
