This is a UNIQUE find. This is a 1940s original fashion drawing by a designer who was completing her 3rd professonal year of couture studies in Paris. This drawing was illustrated by Jacqueline-Blundelle, who received her professional diploma as a master couturier at the time. It was part of her culminating collection of fashion illustrations. The image has wonderful appeal showing watercolor process.. Note too, the light evidence of a sketch on the left side of the model. The design has classic 1940's styling with its 3/4 length ensemble, its cinched waistline, its shurring on bodice and skirt and its wonderful hat. The drawing is clean with warm gray tones contrasted with black. The pose and stance are classic of the period as well. Done on light cream toned paper measuring 9.75 x 12.5 inches. Comes with her personal portfolio. Makes for wonderful wall decor for today's fashionista or vintage clothing collector.
