This is RARE! This original fashion drawing dates to the early 1950s. It was a fashion dress design for the sophisticated woman of the time. We purchased it in Paris from a vendor who specializes in original fashion drawings. This was a lucky find for us as it is a rarity! It is a gouache and ink drawing done on thick paper stock. Note the artistic styling of the dress with its cut out bodice and buttoned corset sculptured shape. A deep brick red luxurious shawl falls over the shoulder giving drama and elegance to the look . You can sense the sumptuous lush texture of the fabric. The design is sleek, chic, and elongated with wonderful gesturing and posture. The design is timeless and is perfect for today's fashionista or vintage clothing collector. This drawing is one of several in our shop by this designer. Signed by the fashion designer, Jean Pierre Fleurimon, who today is best known for his makeup and beauty cosmetics salon in Paris but whose early career focused on fashion design.
