RARE FIND! This is French Mid-Century fashion design by the iconic CHRISTIAN DIOR! It dates to 1955 and originally appeared in a haute couture fashion magazine of the time. This is a hard to find image! Purchased by us in Paris. It showcases an elegant red and black ensemble with an embroidered detail. Note the classic Dior styling and sophistication: the mid calf length, the silhouetted feminine design and of course, the wide rim hat! And it is shown against a painterly turquoise blue tone background. This design is illustrated by Pierre Mourgue, one of Paris' leading fashion illustrators of the mid-century years.
