Original 1956 vintage watercolor painting depicting a rural rustic farm house and barn scene. We love the wide open barn door that invites the viewer to gaze through the structure and come out the far side. Colors are shades of green, tan, blue, gray, yellow, and brown. By Philadelphia artist Helen Sophia Barth (1920-2012) signed and dated 1956 on reverse. Ms. Barth was a lifelong painter working primarily in watercolor with an abstract feel, as seen in this work. She received her art training through the Fleisher Art Memorial program of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the oldest community art school in the U.S. Executed on heavy art paper stock and ready to frame if so desired.
