A vintage reproduction print of antique Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige From his series "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō". Eleventh Station: Mishima. In the title block: "Morning Mist". On the right, the sacred torii gate of the Myojin Shinto temple. A traveler in a modest palanquin with two bearers, and behind him a woman sitting on a horse loaded with baggage. The original woodblock print is known for its skillful use of the gradation of gray and blue tones. This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed. Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: XII. Very good condition - minor edge wear, it was pinned in the past, this damaged a very small area of the top left corner (a rip and loss of color), one tiny hole very close to the top right corner was smoothed and is barely visible, never framed.
