In the title block: "The Mountain Where We Abandon the Brush". This name is due to the legend of a great painter who, despairing of rendering the beauty of the landscape, threw away his brush. On the right, the pavilion two travelers are resting while having tea, a third one is composing a poem. Two other travelers admire the beauty of the site. A baggage bearer is resting seated, holding the stick that he uses to carry his two packages. A peasant leads an ox loaded with bundles towards the terrace, he is followed by a child. This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed. Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960.
