Oil painting on Masonite of a Sailboat in rough seas. Painted in the manner of Montague Dawson by Satori Gregorakis. Signed in the lower right corner. Heavy gilt frame. Circa 1990 I paint in the traditional style of old masters because I am drawn to the charisma of that era. For me, creating art is a patient ritual. At the heart of my process is the careful preparation of the painting surface. Ultimately my goal is for the person viewing my work to experience a pause, a moment to reflect. Satori’s paintings are widely collected both nationally and internationally.
