“Times and Cities” 2008 by Gabriel A. Karavokiris. Gabriel A. Karavokiris was born in Buenos Aires in 1955. He studied at the 'Prilidiano Pueyrredón' School of Fine Arts with some of his teachers being Felix González Mora, Rubén Rey and Rubén Daltoe. He has exhibited his paintings since 1980 participating in collective and individual exhibitions mostly expressing a strong constructivism style of art heavily influenced by soviet Russian constructivism art movement. "Times and Cities" 2008 is an artistic and architectural representation of the constructivism philosophy that originated in Russia beginning in 1915 by Vladimir Tatlin and Alexander Rodchenko. Abstract and austere, constructivist art aimed to reflect modern industrial society and urban space.
