This large antique 19th century hand-colored engraving titled The Meet at Melton depicts an elaborate fox hunting scene after the painting by F. Grant and was engraved by W. Humphreys, published by Graves & Co., offering finely detailed equestrian and sporting imagery that anchors a room with old-world English character, all presented in its original period giltwood frame with clearly visible age and patina. The print shows a fair amount of foxing, toning, staining along the edges, and surface wear consistent with age while remaining visually striking and intact, and the frame exhibits scattered losses and wear appropriate to its age. Please see all photographs and consider them as part of the description. The framed work measures approximately 33.5” wide by 23” tall.
