This handsome striking work on paper and in a new black wood frame and with a linen matte under glass is by artist Manfred Hebenstreit (Australia b. 1957). This contemporary Austrian artist studied painting and graphic at the University of Art and Industrial Design. Since 1995 he has lived and worked in Peuerbach, Austria, where he has set up his studio. The signature in the bottom right hand corner is hard to read, however research reflects that it is indeed Habenstreit. And this framed ink abstract work of art is seriously in keeping with the artist Manfred Hebenstreit and so does his signature, where it is also dated 2009.
