Traditional Japanese kakejiku (hanging scroll) hand-painted on silk depicting a songbird perched among cherry blossoms. Executed in the single-stroke painting tradition and likely dating to the Taishō period (1912–1926), though similar examples continued to be produced into the mid-20th century. Good displayable condition with age-related toning and wear consistent with age. A quality decorative piece for collectors of Japanese art, Asian antiques, kakejiku, hanging scrolls, and bird-and-flower paintings (kachō-ga).
