A bright and colorful impressionist oil painting by Oregon artist Donnis Smith depicts a boy leaning over to converse with a squirrel. Vibrant jewel tones of emerald, sapphire, fuchsia, lilac, coral, and mint green enliven the scene with a Fauvist sensibility. Set in a wooden frame with new hanging wire and metallic gold paint. No signature, but the painting was purchased from a collection of paintings from the same artist in the same style, one of which was signed and is also available in our shop, sold separately. The painting alone measures 14" x 18".
