This is a RARE antique French Art Nouveau chromolithograph design that dates to c 1900. Hard to find in pristine condition with excellent color tones. This came from an unbound album of decorative plates featuring what was then called "moderne" designs for tapestries, murals, wall panels, rugs, leatherworks, ceramics, etc. The documentation notes that these designs were "interpretations of the poppy" flower. Note the Art Nouveau stylized floral motifs with intricate delicate detailing and fluid lines. They are organic and ornamental, typical of the period. The pinks, yellow and green tone are in soft color tones. This image is in rare horizontal format measuring 14 x 10.5 inches. Excellent condition with clean borders and no indications of age. Works with all decor styles.
