This attractive panel, crafted with beech wood and left in its pale natural state, was crafted circa 1900 in Hebei Province, China. It is thought to have been hung in the entryway of a prosperous family's home. This panel features a central carving displaying figures accompanied by floral and scrolling designs, all in relief. A frame tops and flanks the piece, each end of which is intricately carved. This lintel can add a decorative touch above sideboards, beds, or even entryways, following its original purpose.
