The surface holds visible edges and layered brushwork, allowing each hue to breathe against the next. Figures emerge and recede within the composition — not fully separate from their surroundings, but woven into them. The space feels held rather than staged. Color becomes structure. Pattern carries gesture. There is a tactile rhythm to the painting: the matte warmth of yellow against cool glassy violet, the density of green resting on pale ground.
