Offered here for your consideration is an antique watercolor painting on laid paper. It depicts a cowherd with a cow and sheep at a water trough by ancient architectural ruins. The painting is adhered to secondary sheet with scribed lines (and is peeling up from the sheet at the corners.) It retains very vibrant colors! Likely English or continental. The painting dates to the late 18th or 19th century. It is unsigned and framed in a contemporary frame. Not observed outside of the frame. Measurements: Height ca. 9 1/4 in. Width ca. 10 1/2 in.
