Original colored illustration by Dana Franzen, who illustrated posters for Anti Reefer Madness campaigns of 1982 and 1985, which featured Ronald Reagan, advertised the 'White House Smoke In', and protested imprisonment for smoking marijuana. This visionary illustration captures the essence of the late-1960s counterculture movement and the psychedelic Yellow Submarine aesthetic. It depicts a fantasy, flying ship with kaleidoscopic rainbow sails and wings, floating atop a mythical sea creature with schools of fish trailing behind. We purchased it from the artist's friends and had it framed to protect the worn corners. A passage from a poem or book bordering three sides reads 'With the wings of the prism ship came the astounding freedom of flight, hitherto possessed only by the birds of the sky.
